Started in 2011, the California State Duck Calling Championship challenges competitors to perform their best species-specific rendition of an authentic call. Rooted in the historical Calling Championship of Stuttgart, Arkansas, the California State Duck Calling Championship welcomes callers of all ages and levels.


The competition is held in Colusa, CA-  a legendary upland waterfowl region which also boasts fantastic fishing and hunting for other popular species such as deer and wild pigs. 

Register for your competition of choice on the day between 8:30am-10:00am at the Colusa Sacramento River State Park at 50 Tenth Street in Colusa.

Butte Sink Regional Contest: open to non-CA residents
Junior Duck: up to 13 years old
Intermediate Duck: 13-16 years old
Junior Speck: up to 13 years old
Intermediate Speck: 13-16 years old 
Live Duck Calling: Individuals only 
CA State Duck Calling Championship: California Residents only 
CA State Speck Calling: 17+ years old and California Residents only 
CA State Two-Man Meat Calling: 17+ years old and California Residents only

8:30am-10:00am: Registration On-Site
10:00am: Butte Sink Regional Duk Calling Contest/World Championship Qualifier
1:00pm: Junior and Intermediate Duck Calling Contest
2:00pm: Junior and Intermediate Speck Calling Contest
3:00pm: California State Live Duck Calling Contest

8:30am-10:00am: Registration On-Site
10:00am: CA State Duck Calling Championship/World Championship Qualifier
12:00pm: Grand Finale Raffle Draw
1:00pm: california State Speck Calling contest
2:30pm: California State Two Man Meat Calling Contest


All registration is done on the day of the event between 8:30am-10:00am. 
However. you can download the form here and bring it on the day if you'd like to prepare ahead of time.
